Joshuas SCUBA Diving (www.scubadivingintarkarli.com) attempted to identify a dive site near Murud Janjira off the coast of Murud Janjira as well as Kashid however wasnt able to identify a divesite viable for joy rides for tourists visiting Diveagar. The water near Tarkarli is clearer and presence of coral reeves has helped in increasing the presence of marine life at the divesites near Tarkarli. Although Kashid or Murud doesnt offer a fish tank like experiance individual deep sea dives can be organized with advance intimation.
With over 720 species of flora and 279 species of fauna that include mammals, birds and butterflies a trek in Phansad wild life sanctuary is an interesting digression during a beach holiday to Diveagar. Owing to the hilly terrain you would need to be extremely lucky to spot a larger mammal like leopard or barking deer however Phansad is a paradise for bird watchers and lepidopterist!
